This one is long overdue - about 2 years and 4 months, to be exact - but it's finally here. Partially started back in September of 2022 but was quickly pushed into "stagnant" status. While it is true that the last two revisions of this song (one in the final weeks of 2020 and another one in the first weeks of 2021) were pretty cool, they didn't have the best mixing. The instrumentation is also quite outdated compared to what I normally use nowadays.

So nerd time! In terms of... well, song, the chord progression remains the same. It's still based off MasterBootRecord's "ANSI.SYS" song, which started this whole thing. In terms of instrumentation, however, things change yet remain the same. The piano found in the original versions is now removed, replaced with just an ambient pad sound. The drums and bass still play (relatively) the same thing but have been upgraded to higher quality VSTs. The arpeggio and the two leads that play are both the very same "Sytrus" ones that were found in the original versions, so there's some familiarity there for ya. The flute, electric guitar, and half-time breakdown are all-new, silly additions.

It's a cool song, I guess. Went through a couple drafts and iterations but we got there in the end. A journal / essay thing that I wrote back in 2021 said "The song is now done. Is this the end? Of course not. There will be more." in the context of 2021's "Revision 2". It was certainly not the end, which is why this version exists. All good things come to an end, however, and I consider this to be a very, very good thing. This is the final product of an almost 2 year long journey: Revision 3, the final one.
